Project Gesar Sherab

The goal of the Gesar Sherab School project is the development of this school for children from nomad and agricultural families. By providing education, a sustainable future for the whole region is being supported. It gives the nomad people a good chance to develop themselves within Chinese society. The name ‘Gesar Sherab’ means paradise of wisdom.

Gesar is also the name of an old Tibetan king.
The school will become a regional education centre. A small school located 15 kilometres from the Gesar Sherab School will be integrated in our school. Next to the school compound, a small medical clinic is established. This clinic is open for the school children.
The Chinese government supports the plan for the full 100%. Next to their commitment to guarantee the running costs of the school, the government also declared that when more area is required they will be happy do provide more area for the school development.
