The location
The school will be build in the surrounding of Zhiuw. Before recently a big area from 15,000 M2 (100m by 150m) was given by the municipal authorities. This area is large enough for all the building plans to realize and finally a school for 300 children will be build.
The school and the buildings.
The project is divided into 4 phases. This summer, the original plans were moderated. The original plans were designed for 225 children. The new plans can accommodate up to 300 children. Phase 1 and 2 are already completed. At the moment, the contractor is working on phase 3, which will be completed in 2007. Phase 4 and 5 will be completed in 2008.
Per phase, the following elements are included:
• Phase 1 and 2: 6 classrooms, 6 sleeping rooms, a kitchen, teachers office, toilet building. After completion of phase 3 the building will get a sleeping and kitchen function only.
• Phase 3: 8 large classrooms, 4 teachers’ rooms, toilets
• Phase 4: teacher’s rooms en rooms for other personnel
• Phase 5: kitchen, dining hall and storage rooms.
