The school is built in Zhiwu, in the East of the Tibetaans Tray (Kham). The inhabitants of the Tibetan mountain tray are general poor, and have social and economic arrears. Approximately 80% of the men cannot read and write. The Tibetan mountain tray is the source of the river the Yangtse, the Yellow River and the Mekong river.
Zhiwu is a city in the Trindu region in the province Qinghai. This region has been lain on approximately 4000 meters height. Zhiwu is relative layer lain on 3900 meters height. Approximately 90% of the inhabitants is Tibetaans and lives a nomads existence. The men hold yaks and sheeps, despite the cold climate (in the winter goes down the temperature till -35 degrees Celsius).
The school is built in an agriculture territory, surrounded through store. The territory was found of above the tree border and consists mainly of grassland. There are single small settlements and towns in the surroundings.
